The name Idoniko comes from the Idones, the ancient people of Drama who worshiped Dionysus, the god of Wine. Inspired by this legacy, the Idoniko family honours the Macedonian tradition of distilling Tsipouro and Ouzo since 1992. Distilled slowly and repeatedly in modern copper stills, Idoniko retains only the purest – the heart – of the distillation, achieving exceptional clarity, balance, and character.
